Our next LGBTQ+ Walking Group will take place on Sunday 20th September.
We will meet at the main car park by the entrance to Duxbury Park Golf Club (PR7 4AT). Our walk leaders will be easy to spot in their orange hi-vis vests and will be there from 11:00am. The walk will set off promptly at 11:10am.
Getting There
By car:
Take the A6 south of Chorley, then turn right onto the A5106. Take the first right turn, signposted for Duxbury Park Golf Club.
By bus:
The 125 bus service (Preston – Chorley – Bolton) stops nearby at Duxbury North Lodge. The car park can then be reached on foot.
About the Walk
Unfortunately, this walk is not suitable for wheelchairs or prams.
This is a linear walk through Duxbury Park and Yarrow Country Park, following the beautiful River Yarrow through scenic woodland.
We’ll stop for lunch and refreshments at Yarrow Country Park, where there is a café. There is also a café at the starting point for anyone who would like to arrive early.
What to Bring
Please wear suitable footwear, as some sections of the route can be muddy and slippery.
We look forward to seeing you there for a friendly walk and the chance to enjoy some beautiful local countryside together.
