Our next walk on Sunday 21st June will be a gentle walk of around 3 miles. The route will take us over the newly restored Tram Bridge and along the old tram route back to Avenham Park through Preston Junction Nature Reserve. 

We will pause at a picnic spot on the route, so bring a pack lunch or snack. There’s also the option to finish the walk at the Pavilion Cafe in Avenham Park. 

 The route is step free and on a well surfaced path throughout. There are some short steep sections. Please come dressed for the weather and wear suitable footwear. When you arrive, don’t forget to sign-in with our walk leaders, you’ll be able to spot them in their orange hi-vis vests! 

There is free parking at Frenchwood Recreation Ground and the group will be setting off at 11.15am from here.
