This month’s walk will take place in Halton and River Lune  on Sunday 24th August.

The walk chosen by our walk leaders will be a circular walk of around 5.5 miles along the beautiful River Lune taking in Halton Rapids and Crook O’ Lune. We hope to spot sand martins nesting in the river banks, goosander and the elusive kingfisher! The route includes some sections with narrow paths, uneven or slippery terrain and steps and is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.

Join us for a leisurely walk where everyone can get to know each other. There will be a toilet and lunch stop at Crook O’ Lune so either bring a pack lunch or cash to buy a snack at Woodies cafe.

The group will set off at 11.00am from the parking area by the former Halton Station off Denny Beck Lane (before Halton Bridge). Look out for the walk leaders in their orange hi-vis. Please come dressed for the weather!
