Older & Out
The LGB&T social group ‘Older & Out Preston’ meets every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month, 3pm – 5pm at the Ham & Jam Coffee Shop, 50 Lancaster Rd, Preston, PR1 1DD.
The social group takes place in a bright safe space where people can be themselves and socialise free from discrimination. Its members also hold other regular meetings and social activities in and around Lancashire. Although primarily aimed at LGB&T people 50+ the social group is welcoming to LGB&T people and ‘straight allies’ of all ages and acts as an alternative to the ‘Pub & Club’ scene.
Butterflies is a support group for trans male and female young people aged 13-25 and meets in the Blackpool area every other week. A relaxed and supportive environment in which to be yourself, share experiences and to meet other young people like yourself.
A safe environment in which family members of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans young people can meet together, share experiences and find peer support. To join, please contact Louise at UR Potential.

POUT is a long established group for young people in the Chorley and South Ribble areas who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans or are questioning their sexuality or gender identity. It’s part of the Lancashire County Council Wellbeing, Prevention & Early Help Service’s Targeted Youth Support. The group meets most Wednesday evenings at a venue in Leyland. The age range is 13-19 and the group is staffed by qualified young people’s workers.
